HI!
My name is Cody Rathgeber, and I'm a sophomore at Syracuse University studying advertising in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a minor in marketing in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. I am on the creative track within the advertising major, and I have a strong passion for design. Throughout my education, I have created within Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Canva, and Figma.
I have always had a strong passion for design, and I got heavily involved in various opportunities beginning in high school. I had the privilege of managing three different social media accounts, which gave me experience in Canva and Photoshop. I also helped our basketball team with game-day edits to share on their social media channels. Coming into Newhouse at Syracuse, I knew I wanted to get involved in similar experiences that would allow me to express my creativity beyond the classroom. I first got involved in the student-run TNH Advertising Agency, which has been extremely valuable so far. I am also involved with the Pulp Marketing Club, and recently was accepted into Hill Communications, a student-run PR firm. These opportunities have not only allowed me to learn from others and expand upon my design skills, but they have also provided me with insights into the advertising field.
I am extremely passionate about every project that I involve myself in, and I can't stop working until I am satisfied with the final product. I hope to take this passion with me through the rest of my career at Syracuse University to continue to grow as a designer, a creative, an advertiser, and as a student.
