HI!
My name is Cody Rathgeber and I'm a sophomore at Syracuse University studying advertising in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a minor in marketing in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. I am on the creative track within the advertising major, and I have a strong passion for design. Throughout my education, I have created within Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Canva, and Figma.
I have always had a strong passion for design, and I got heavily involved in various opportunities beginning in high school. I had the privilege of managing three different social media accounts, which gave me experience in Canva and Photoshop. I also helped our basketball team with game day edits to share on their social media channels. Coming into Newhouse at Syracuse, I knew I wanted to get involved in similar experiences that would allow me to express my creativity beyond the classroom. I first got involved in the student-ran TNH Advertising Agency, which is been extremely valuable so far. I also am involved with the Pulp Marketing Club, and recently was accepted into Hill Communications, a student run PR-firm. These opportunities have not only allowed me to learn from others and expand upon my design skills, but they have also provided me with insights into the advertising field.
I am extremely passionate about every project that I involve myself in, and I can't stop working until I am satisfied with the final product. I hope to take this passion with me through the rest of my career at Syracuse University to continue to grow as a designer, a creative, an advertiser, and as a student.
